November 2026 could be a pretty interesting month for Panasonic and L-Mount fans, with several sources now claiming that Panasonic is preparing a major product announcement. Three separate sources have reportedly confirmed that an event is planned for November, although there have not been any concrete leaks about what the company might actually unveil. The timing would certainly make sense, though, as 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the Lumix brand, which originally launched on October 27, 2001. Panasonic has already been celebrating the occasion with products like the Lumix L10 and its special Titanium Gold edition, alongside a new series of international LUMIX Collective events bringing photographers and filmmakers together.

As for what we might actually see, most of the speculation currently revolves around a new L-Mount cinema camera. One possibility is a successor to the Lumix S1H, although there is also talk of Panasonic developing a more compact, box-style cinema camera similar in concept to Sony’s FX series. At this point, neither option has been confirmed, and it is still possible that Panasonic has something completely different planned. There are also rumours about a new Micro Four Thirds camera, potentially a GH8 or a smaller model inspired by the older GM and GF series.

And Panasonic might not be the only company with something planned for L-Mount users, either. Sigma is also rumoured to unveil a new FP II in November. Early specifications suggest a 24-megapixel sensor, open-gate recording, internal RAW video and an optional electronic viewfinder. Of course, these details are still based on rumours, and Sigma has not officially confirmed the camera or its launch date.
