Viltrox just dropped a new budget-friendly lens, the AF 25mm f/1.7 Air APS-C, as part of its lightweight Air Trinityseries. Like the 35mm f/1.7 Air and 56mm f/1.7 Air, it’s available for Sony E, Nikon Z, and Fujifilm X mounts.
Weighing just 5.9 oz (170g) and measuring 2.2 inches (56mm) long, this compact prime lens gives you a 38mm full-frame equivalent, making it great for street, portraits, and indoor photography. The f/1.7 aperture and nine-blade diaphragm promise smooth bokeh, while ED and nano-coated glass keep images sharp. Autofocus is handled by a silent STM motor with eye and face detection, and the lens is optimized for video, minimizing focus breathing.
Other perks? A metal mount, USB-C for firmware updates, and a waterproof front element with anti-fouling coating. Best part? It’s $176 and already available!
