At CP+ 2025, Sigma’s CEO Kazuto Yamaki casually dropped some big news: a new version of the 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art lens is in the works.
No official specs yet, but expect it to be smaller, lighter, and optically better than the 2019 original, which was big and heavy (1,090g, 136mm long, 82mm filters). Given that Sigma recently refreshed its 24-70mm f/2.8, it makes sense they’d update this lens too.
No word on price or release date, but with the E-mount version disappearing from stores, a launch might not be far off.
