Zoner Studio’s Fall 2025 Update is here, introducing a series of upgrades meant to improve speed, precision, and usability for photographers. The update expands on the software’s existing AI features with tools like AI Close-ups and AI Resize, both designed to reduce repetitive work in photo selection and editing. The interface has also been refined, and several modules have received usability and performance improvements.

The new AI Close-ups tool automatically detects faces, animals, or cars and instantly generates zoomed-in previews, so you can see which shots are sharp and usable without clicking into every single frame. Meanwhile, the AI Resize feature introduces two modes for enlarging images without quality loss, one focused on natural, detail-rich results, and another that can reconstruct missing details for older or low-res files. Both tools run completely on your computer, avoiding the cloud and keeping edits fast and secure.

There are plenty of smaller refinements, too. The Develop module now supports a split-view for side-by-side comparisons, photo book design is more intuitive, and new compositional overlays like Golden Spiral and Triangle guides have been added. Retouching tools produce smoother, more natural results, while video editing, Loupedeck support, and even the built-in AI assistant “Zoni” have all been improved. The Fall 2025 update is free for existing users, with subscriptions starting at $6 a month or $59 a year.
