Photoshop Elements 2027 Is Here
Photoshop Elements 2027 is here, and once again the focus is on making photo editing easier for people who do not need, or simply do not want, the complexity of the full Creative Cloud version of Photoshop. One of the bigger additions is Adobe’s AI Assistant, which recently appeared in beta in the company’s main Creative Cloud apps and is now making its way into Elements. It is still a beta feature here too, but it can provide step-by-step instructions and recommendations for common editing tasks based on the photo you are currently working with.
A couple of familiar Photoshop AI features are coming across as well. Generative Expand can extend a photo beyond its original boundaries and generate the missing content, while Generative Upscale increases resolution for larger prints or exports. Adobe has also introduced Creative Filters and a new AI Tools Hub, which gives all of the app’s AI-powered features a single place rather than scattering them around different menus. The usual Elements editing tools have not gone anywhere either, so you still get controls for cropping, exposure colour adjustments etc. alongside the newer features.
Adobe also upgraded the Elements Organiser, particularly when it comes to finding photos in larger libraries. There is now semantic text search, meaning you can describe what you are looking for rather than relying entirely on filenames or manually added tags. A duplicate finder can track down multiple copies of the same photos, while QR-code sharing gives you a quicker way to move photos onto a phone. Photoshop Elements 2027 is available for macOS and Windows for $99.99 with a three-year license. Existing users can upgrade for $79.99.
