Pergear’s new 50mm f/1.4 manual focus lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras is here, offering a compact, all-metal option for Sony E, Nikon Z, Canon RF, and L-Mount users. Measuring just 66mm in diameter and 43.5mm in length, the lens weighs approximately 255g, making it one of the more compact full-frame 50mm f/1.4 lenses available.
The lens features a traditional manual-focus design with a dedicated focus ring, a clicked aperture ring, and a built-in depth-of-field scale, giving you a classic hands-on shooting experience while remaining compatible with modern mirrorless cameras. On the inside, the lens uses a 6-element, 6-group optical design with AR coating to help reduce flare and improve contrast. It has an aperture range of f/1.4 to f/16, controlled by a 12-blade diaphragm that’s designed to produce smooth, rounded out-of-focus highlights. According to Pergear, the wide f/1.4 aperture is intended to deliver strong subject separation and soft background blur, especially for portraits and low-light photography.
The minimum focusing distance comes in at 0.6m, and the lens uses a standard 52mm filter thread while providing a 46° angle of view. The Pergear 50mm f/1.4 is available for Sony E, Nikon Z, Canon RF, and L-Mount cameras and is priced at $129.
