Fujifilm’s X Summit in Prague is just days away, it starts at 6 AM EDT on March 20, and Fujifilm’s newest teasers are making it pretty obvious what to expect.
The latest clip shows an X100VI, a GFX 100S II, and then a mystery camera in the shadows—probably a mix of both. Based on its size and shape, it’s likely a GFX model with a built-in lens, something Fujifilm hasn’t done before. The lens appears to be a 35mm f/4, which translates to a 28mm equivalent in full-frame terms, and it’s expected to pack the same 102MP sensor as the GFX 100S II. If that’s the case, this could be a compact, all-in-one medium-format camera, which is definitely an interesting move.
The big questions—price, autofocus, video features—are still up in the air, but we’ll find out soon enough when Fujifilm makes it official on March 20.
